Buy this if you have never run a CNC
At this price the machine is a teaching tool, and everything you learn on it - work-holding, tramming, feeds and speeds, tool changes - transfers to any machine you buy later. The envelope is the thing you will outgrow, not the education. It also arrives with limit switches and an emergency stop, which remove the two ways a first build most often goes wrong.
Buy this if you already know what you want to cut
The bigger bed and the rated spindle are what you are paying for, and both matter only if your work actually needs them. If you are still finding out which geometries and materials you like, the extra money buys capability you cannot yet use. If you already know your parts do not fit on a 300mm bed, this is the cheaper mistake to avoid.
If this is your first CNC, buy the 3018-PROVer V2 and spend the difference on cutters, collets and a spoilboard - the accessories are what actually let you use either machine, and beginners consistently under-budget them.
